Michael Hampton received his Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication at San Francisco State University. Working as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, and comic book artist, Mike has also regular contributor to Topps and Upper Deck Entertainment for Mars Attacks, Marvel Comics, and Star Wars trading cards. He has published several comic books, such as the DIY Award-Winning “How to “do” Comics” for Best Comic.
His artwork has been featured with Robot Chicken, The Howard Stern Show, Dark Horse Comics, Weezer, Comic-Con International, and in several galleries around the San Francisco Bay Area. His work has also raised money and awareness for endangered species such as the Grey Wolf here in the United States, the Wildlife Warriors in Australia, and the near extinct Northern White Rhino in Africa.
Mike’s award-winning work has also been featured in Oakland Magazine in 2017 with the “Best of Oakland & the East Bay” for Best Local Sports fashion for his designs with Bart Bridge Clothing. He also and executive board member, creator, and curator of the Oakland Art Library (which has been featured in several Bay Area publications). Mike is also a volunteer in the art department San Francisco Burning Man Community Events Team, and has had his work at Burning Man related events and the Burning Man in Black Rock City, NV.
