My name is Wenzdai, and I am a photographer and designer from the Bay Area. My chosen medium is wet-plate collodion tintypes, a photographic process originating in the 1850s. I am inspired by themes of death, folklore, nature, and the and the physical hands-on magic of creating the tintypes. I try to explore the delicate balance between the whimsical and the eerie.
